Roger: ...or whip me. Or torture me. Or...
Girii: Oh, no. Jacob? Are you seriously playing golf with children's skulls?!
Jacob: Don't be silly. I'm just practicing my drives. It's not like I could putt with them. Their little teeth would be hell on the green.
Girii: Jacob...I know you pretend to be callous and cruel, sometimes...
Jacob: 'Cruel'? Try 'Practical'. I'm trying to relax, so I can think clearly.
Girii: Is it helping?
Jacob: Yes. For example...I just realized that I never invited you to come along.

“…their little teeth would be hell on the green.”

Got me laughing pretty hard with that line…and I don’t play golf, but would love to see some greens ruined like that. 🙂

  2. frymaster says:

yeah, that whole panel is brilliant

  3. Antonious says:

Just found Genocide Man and read from the start. Very interesting. The concepts mentioned are for now mostly in the realm of science fiction. However, when you consider the speed at which science is turning fiction into fact, the actions occurring here may be only as far off as tomorrow.

Think on that and let us know how well you slept.

  4. Martin says:

Had to look it up, but – “No sidekicks. I’ll kill anyone who applies for the job.”

  5. Remus Shepherd says:

    Glad you’re enjoying it, Antonious.

Genocide Man is a somewhat ‘hard’ science fiction story, with speculative science rooted in real-world science. I tried to make the pacing of the timeline about as plausible as possible. Of course, the science gets softer and more wild as the story goes on, but that’s true with most sci-fi. Things eventually get crazy. 🙂

Oh, and Martin — good memory!

  6. Jacek says:

I could picture this as a movie so easily. Anthony Hopkins as Jacob would be epic.
