You’re so cute. I wish I had a camera. Maybe I’ll let you wax my jeep after we destroy your civilization.

Hi folks!  Welcome to chapter 6!

As the chapter title suggests — ‘Three Journeys’ — we’re going to follow three distinct plotlines in this chapter.  Hopefully I’ve planned them all out so that they’re clear and compelling.  I’ll ask you how I’m doing in a few weeks, after you’ve sampled them all.

I’m not sure if anybody noticed, but I did put up a post last week!  I put together the pamphlet that I plan to distribute at Worldcon, and made it into a gallery here so that you could read it if you wished.  It’s a summary of the comic, focusing on chapter 3-5.  (Eventually I’ll put up the chapter 1-2 pamphlet that I used last year; I’m having some conversion problems with it.)

Because the pamphlet gallery was a non-comic post, it appeared at the bottom of the previous page, which is probably why nobody saw it.  You can go back one page and scroll down to read the pamphlet, or just go here.  It’s also accessible in the ‘About’ menu above.

As for chapter 6, it’s going to have a lot of big revelations.  I’m excited about it, and I hope you are too!  Thanks for reading!

Roger voiceover: The Transatlantic Train goes through a tube suspended in the ocean. Deep enough to avoid ships, but more scenic than a tunnel. The view was kind of awesome. They never finished the northern route via Greenland. Iceberg troubles, I think. Girii bounced back quickly. She found sympathetic passengers and talked them out of some clothing.

Girii: All I really need is some underwear. A shirt. Slacks. Shoes. Socks. And a bra.

Roger voiceover: She even got something for Jacob.

Jacob: No.

Roger voiceover: Jacob got his own berth room. I think he was studying that old genome library.

Jacob: "They said that there's a secret gene that Adam had...and it made him clean."

Roger voiceover: I started reading that journal the A.I. gave me...while listening to the news from Dakar. It wasn't good. Worst of all was something that that news sites missed...

  1. Sonja says:

Back after a month and excited about the new developments!
I would love to see Jacob in this T-Shirt! 😀

  2. I cannot think of a more deadly combination… Jakob with a equine happy face ensemble. They’d die laughing.

  3. kaze says:

that song is a little bit of a mind worm…

  4. --jt-- says:

What? Couldn’t work in one of the ponies from your own MLP fanfic?

Also, I think you missed a chance to have Jacob “wear” that shirt. 🙂

With Jacob sitting and Girii standing over him from behind- She would have just swung the T over his head and onto his chest. He’d be looking down at his own chest and saying “No”.

  5. Gillsing says:

In the first panel, is that “translatlantic” supposed to be “transatlantic”, without the “L” before “Atlantic”?

And man, empaths never need to starve or go naked, eh? Just ask and receive!

  6. Remus Shepherd says:

Whoops! Good catch, Gillsing. I’ll fix that typo at my first opportunity. Thanks!

  7. Chuk says:

“Translate-lantic” kind of sounds cool too though.
I didn’t check out the pamphlet but I think I saw it in RSS.

  8. Wilowah says:

Ponies are invading all of the webcomics I read.

    I’m not complaining, though. 😀
