Believing there’s no God means I can’t really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That’s good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around.

How rude of that radio voice, to interrupt this bonding moment between Jacob and Girii.  Ah, but we must be getting close to wherever the whales call home…

↓ Transcript
Jacob: ...You're an empath with the ability to influence minds. You're here, in a unique opportunity to order me around. So why are you trying to get me to think for myself?
Girii: Because I have to believe that you can.
Roger: Hey -- Our network latency disappeared. I think we just came in range of a central hub.
Radio: What a perceptive young man! Later, I must ask you to donate a brain sample...

Discussion (6)¬

  1. Jerden says:

Err… How much brain? I use it quite regularly, and I think I’m rather attached to it…

  2. I don’t know about this. After all, a brain is a marvelous thing, and I’d have to have a quid pro quo, you know…. something valuable in return. Say a part of your brain, or an interview, or…. Oh! A lollypop? Sure….

  3. Speedy says:

We humans generally use about 10% of our brains.. surely Roger can donate about 90%. ;D

  4. Drace says:

Wasn’t that actually ‘10% at average’? Rather than a flat 10% all the time i mean. Areas powering up and down as needed is what pops into my head. I’d check but on my phone atm and shite signal here.

  5. Was the brain sample donation quip a reference to Egon Spengler? I’m prepared to applaud it either way.

  6. Joe says:

Well, so long as he clones enough to treat future degenerative diseases…
