I put in some sound effects here to see if it would be funnier. I might be alone in thinking that a mass fistfight in a decon shower is intrinsically funny, so maybe some biffs and bams will put it over the top. What do you think?

I like the sound effects! Especially in panel three they add to the understanding of the scene (although we of course would understand Jacob beating the hell out of some dumb guys without them, but it’s funnier, yes).
Remember, Jacob, don’t breath the water.
Wait, why would you fight Jacob while he’s having a decontamination shower? If you subdue him, then you have to finish decontaminating him yourself!
For that matter, why would you fight Jacob at all? Armies couldn’t, and you’re handicapped with nonlethal weaponry and isolation suits (though come to think of it, the armies would be smart to wear those anyway…)
All I could think of was some music from the Adam West Batman TV show playing in the background.
Plenty of reasons to try to stop Jacob. For one, he’s leaving a quarantine zone, and preventing people from leaving is these guy’s whole job. Second, they might not recognize Jacob Doe. Even if they do, he is unarmed and fighting unprotected in a chemical shower…might that even the odds? Well, no. But some of these mooks might think it would. 🙂
I really hope that it’s the chemicals making him cough and gag temporarily and not something picked up in the qz taking effect.. :/
Jacob is still human enough that when he gets water down the air hole instead of the food hole, he instinctively coughs, I would say.
