Chapter 13, Page 24

Yeah, Jacob isn’t getting out of this without a few bruises, as we showed in this chapter’s cover image.  But he acquitted himself well.

I’m taking my customary one day break between chapters.  I promise to you that I am not wasting my time — soon, so very soon, you shall see what all my hard work has been working toward.  For now, there will not be an update this Thursday; we will return with the chapter 14 cover image next Monday, Feb. 23rd.  And I might have an announcement also.  See you then!

Jacob: ...if you want a drill instructor, get someone else. I'm retired.
Abhik: Send in the rest of the squad!
Jacob: Give me a break -- can I please just surrender now?

  1. I’m kind of surprised he doesn’t just lie down — he has made his point. But maybe that’s incompatible with his psychology. 😛

  2. --jt-- says:

Laying down now would just get him *kicked* a couple dozen times.

  3. Madorakas says:

Oh hollu father, creator of all that is good… let him KICK ASS!

  4. jprime says:

    Shouldn’t that be “Chapter 13, Page 24”?

  5. Remus Shepherd says:

Ack, did I…yeah, I did screw that up. Thanks, Jprime. I’m already working on Chapter 15, so it’s easy to get confused. 🙂

  6. Barzha says:

how many to a squad normally? im seeing 12 there including the 4 that are already out, double the numbers might not be enough for jacob, might want to try 4-5 machine guns with tranq darts, or nets, anything but cqc with him

  7. Ming the Merciless says:

They are still lucky to just get zapped, Caera would have chopped all their arms and their heads too…
