You have to realize, I didn’t know that I would be switching artists in Chapter 15. This page had already been scripted, and I need a short view of how Lola is consolidating her power. (Amassing power is foreshadowing for the use of power, after all.) So I was very apologetic with Kasey about starting him with a page full of G.U.S. delegate screens. He took it in stride. I just wish we had started this chapter with action, to show you what Kasey can really do. For now, have a little taste. The action is on its way shortly…
Indian delegate: Leadership isn't the issue. Centralizing all G.U.S. military power in one agency is an ill-conceived historical mistake.
Lola: Centralized power allowed the world to grow past the nation-state model. Do you want to return to squabbling with each other? We'll have another two centuries of plague and war. If that's your government's proposal...
Indian delegate: ...I'll, uh, get back to you on that. For now, India has no faith in the Genocide Project.
It’s a good start – and I see this picture as challenging for an artist anyway. It bugs me a bit that some of the faces have moved around in the top and bottom pictures, but that’s just my OCD gland kicking in.
I see Lola has switched back to her other chair.
Lola has many, many chairs. The battle chair will return again someday.
I assume she’s using the least threatening chair she has. 😛
… to show you what Kasey can really do.
No need. I’m a regular over at Velocidad.
Kasey does ‘action’ very well, but can handle
story-building just as equally.
Eli…
That’s bold Madam… Considering that you’ve had an army of super soldiers built that are expressly against GUS law. Let us know how that works out for you.
