Chapter 16, Page 15

Hmn.  Now that I see these two pages in sequence, I think I need to add something.  The script had Jacob and Caera leaping away from the blast last page, then scrambling behind a rock for cover.  But that’s not so clear.

Not a problem, though.  I have an idea for an intervening page of tank blast-dodging, with a joke or two in it.  I’ll just get Kasey to draw it and put it in the published comic.  Yet another reason to read the ebooks, right?

That said, I’ll be careful not to let this happen again.  I hate it when I have to add to the list of fixes…

Jacob: The tank? Yeah, it may be a problem.
Caera: Can we disable it?
Jacob: Maybe. I know some tricks.
Caera: Then I'll distract it.
Jacob: I need to borrow these, pal. Just going to hurt yourself with them anyway.

I apparently completely misunderstood yesterday’s comic. With Caera right at the location of the tank in the next to last panel, I thought the last panel was the tank exploding right beside them for some reason. I didn’t see the distance that was now between the tank and Jacob and Caera that makes it look like the tank is shooting at them instead of exploding and flying into the air.

  2. Agreed, still confused by the previous page. They were *right* in front of the tank; it couldn’t have shot at them unless it like… dropped the shell right out of the barrel, *plop*. Granted, I don’t know much about tanks, but this seemed weird.

Well, since I’m already planning an intervening page, I’ll see what I can do about that last panel.

I suppose cutting the head off of the idiot driving the tank after he sticks it out the hatch would be a good distraction. Kinda makes the grenades redundant though. Even if that isn’t the driver, the hatch is still open which negates the main strength of the tank.
