Piss off a politican and you get audited. Piss off an artist and your corpse becomes performance art.

Chapter 18, Page 12

All right, we’re done with this little diversion with Lola.  Next we’ll be getting back to Jacob, who — as usual — is getting deep in trouble.

I’m still working without a graphics card.  I can’t decide whether to get an old card that’s already obsolete, or should I just upgrade the whole PC…with the danger of bricking what I have.  Sigh, it’s a bad time for this to be happening.

Lola: Assuming the same rate of side effects, of course.
Peterson: Ma'am, the side effects are 100% fatal.
Lola: Well, don't sugar-coat it. We have other ways to stop this army...but it can't hurt to ask for volunteers. Martyrs, heroes of the British isles. Good soldiers. Speaking of which...have we seen any sign of Jacob Doe?

  1. Moxie Man says:

Does computer hardware ever fail at a good time?

  2. 90minutesofsleep says:

Remember, backup storage is cheap and most new computers have space for more ram. Installing more ram is as simple as opening the case, swapping the cards, and then closing the case. Just remember to turn it off and unplug it first.

  3. Ro'Wan says:

I’d suggest an upgrade, makes more sense in the long run……………..

  4. Pat Scaramuzza says:

Storage isn’t a problem. I have plenty of RAM, a SSD main drive, a terabyte backup drive that I keep in a fire safe, etc. I shouldn’t lose any data. I just don’t want to brick the hardware. It’d interrupt everything I do (this comic included) by at least a week.

  5. --jt-- says:

    Two words: “Oculus Ready”

  6. Ming the Merciless says:

“Martyrs of the British Isles”…Do we detect an objectivism slant from a limp wristed fan of that ego bitch Ayn Rand?
“Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori”…That smell a lot better as we all die anyway…

  7. Brian says:

What kind of card do you need? I have a small MSI PCIx-something card that’s my spare.
