The young have aspirations that never come to pass, the old have reminiscences of what never happened. It’s only the middle-aged who are really conscious of their limitations — that is why one should be so patient with them.

Sally: So...
Jacob: So once he wakes up, both of you get out of here.
Sally: He's alive?
Jacob: Yeah. My job is to kill threats. He was never a threat. Where's Kentaro?
Sally: Through there. But Jacob...Kentaro's already won.
Kentaro: Come in, Jacob. I'm ready.

  1. Unmaker says:

That was anticlimactic… and it makes sense. Genetic deviant with some fighting experience against genocide man with nearly a century of fighting experience. Who are you going to bet on?

Now, the AI versus genocide man match might get interesting.

  2. Zarylo says:

I have the feeling that Kentaro might have created a new body using Fumiaki’s chamber. With who knows what sorts of enhancements.

    That is pure speculation though…

  3. Unmaker says:

    @ Zarylo
Against Jacob, I would create a bunch of insects with varying nasty venoms. Without some way of doing an area-of-affect attack he would have trouble getting them all.

“So, you’ve got the needle gun. Let’s see you hit 3000 targets before they get to you. Did you forget your flamethrower?”

  4. ben says:

Or, create something that he wants, that won’t work if he kills you. Like a repair chamber that will fix the damage that his “father” did to the human race.
Violence is generally not the best way to defeat Jacob.
