Chapter 20, Page 11

Everyone wants to see Lola’s body, but I don’t think I included that shot in the script anywhere.  Guess that means I’ll have to leave the story open for a sequel.  😉  But for now, Caera is correct — you can assume Lola is ‘indisposed’.

Jacob: If that's who I think it is...then we're all probably dead anyway. Help me look like I'm able to stand, will you?
Caera: Judging by the present company...I assume that Lola Lamb is indisposed. So...who commands the Genocide Project?

    Love the hat.

  2. Rahka says:

Mayhaps it is Caera’s turn to be in charge. Mayhaps Jacob’s. But he did mention resign forms, so. Hmm!

  3. Ro'Wan says:

Caera might just be the best option in this case. Jacob wants nothing more than to get as far AWAY from the Genocide Project as possible, and everybody else is dead.(Confirmation Mr Scaramuzza?)She’s alot less bloodthirsty since tangling with Jacob, so yeah, i vote Caera for the next Genocide Project Director

  4. jprime says:

Like the saying goes in Japan: “Your enemy is not dead until you see the corpse.”

  5. Unmaker says:

Look, it’s more pigeons coming home to roost. Caera has had some serious development and now appreciates that the Genocide Project screwed her homeland up deliberately (although the exact form of screwup was not planned). She would probably just try to shut them down, maybe with fire and blood, maybe not.

  6. Ming the Merciless says:

    I see readers propose, Scaramouche(God), dispose…
Scaramouche is from the french “escarmouche” or ambush…to test the enemy.

    • Pat Scaramuzza says:

Scaramouche means ‘skirmisher’ in French. Scaramuzza is a variant of the same word in Italian.

  7. CapnCoconuts says:

Caera may have the diplomatic ability, but Jacob is the moral center of the Genocide Project while she proves to be obsessive and aggressive. If the Genocide Project is to continue in any fashion under new leadership, Jacob ought to be part of it as a yin to her yang.
