I am guessing it is a “choose your own deviation” hack – change into what you want instead of what the operator indicates.
Yeah, but wouldn’t that be hacking the process, not the pod?

I hope we see what the ‘hack’ is.
It looks to me like that is Jacob, and the ‘hack’ could be him selecting certain people to become similar to a Genocide Man when they are in the pod.
