Nature should be allowed to go about its business of killing off the weak, sickly and ignorant people without interference by airbags and batting helmets.

Chapter 20, Page 16

When I’m writing a comic script, I love it when I can tell the artist to ‘go crazy’.  “Clean Roger up — go crazy with it.”  “Big rally full of animal mutants — go crazy.”  I think Kasey’s still holding himself back (probably for time reasons), but he can sure fill a panel with neat stuff when let off the leash.  🙂

Roger Voice-Over: ...and you can come out as anything you wish. Kentaro loaded pill recipes all over the Undernet. Two years later, five percent of the world population are no longer human. Of course, I had to go into the tank eventually. Took the opportunity to get rid of some tech. I'm the head of Undernet News, I have people to take video for me. But I try to be on scene for special occasions. Like Girii's big Deviant Rights rally in D.C.

  1. Xilinoc says:

    The furries cometh.

    • Dorcus says:

      Hooray for furries?

Good on Kentaro for planning ahead. He did a good job, all told. Sure he blew up a bunha stuff but it seems like that’s just what happens when you run an AI.

They’re like a magic sacrifice-powered altar that casts a wish spell. You can get all kinds of things out of one but you have to pay a lot of destruction to power it.

  2. Ro'Wan says:

    You cleaned ROGER up???
He looks like an edgier Clark Kent, least to me
So what did he choose for his anthro form?

    • Unmaker says:

You beat me to it (the Clark Kent ref).

Empath in front of a crowd = accelerant near flammables.

    • Chuk says:

I think Roger looks better like that.

I also love the giraffe-person but I think that would suck to actually be for a lot of reasons.

  3. David Cowie says:

“Two years later, five percent of the world population are no longer human.”
A one-in-twenty minority is very vulnerable to old-fashioned persecution. How many of the 95% are thinking “Let’s kill them all now while we still can”?

    • Dorcus says:

It is, but “deviant rights” and the whole “purge the genetically modified” thing was what burning day kicked in the teeth. It’s like anti-semitism after world war 2, plenty of places it happens but it is very illegal and has very bad associations.

And technically it’s just come out that EVERYONE is technically “not human” or “deviant” with the exception of Jacob.

    • Zarpaulus says:

Consider that the world population (before this latest round of WMDs) was 3 billion, that would mean there’s about 150,000,000 “deviants” worldwide, about half the modern day population of the United States.

  4. Darls Chickens says:

I’d expect the biggest rush to be for pills marked,
    Eliminate the fat
    Make me taller
    Smarter
    Stronger
    Movie star face
    Enlarge my ________
    Anti-bald
    Singing voice
    Moves like Jagger
    Dunk like Mike
…while seeking someone infected to kiss.

Just a mite disappointed to see so few morphies from the old wish list. http://www.genocideman.com/?p=483 😉

So tell me, did his mad non-plan succeed?

  5. Cavelobster says:

Is Roger wearing the same type of glasses his former boss was? 😀

  6. Moxie Man says:

I think the pic of Roger is post vat. He didn’t opt for the furry route.

  7. Nezumi says:

Coming out as some sort of mouse-critter would be great.
