{"id":12,"date":"2009-08-29T12:17:45","date_gmt":"2009-08-29T18:17:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.genocideman.com\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2010-06-28T19:12:45","modified_gmt":"2010-06-29T01:12:45","slug":"questions-answers-and-disclaimers","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.genocideman.com\/?page_id=12","title":{"rendered":"Questions, Answers and Disclaimers"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>What is this site?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s the home site of the webcomic Genocide Man.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If things go well it might host other projects of mine.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>What kind of\u00a0webcomic is it?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Genocide Man is going to be a humorous, sci-fi comic based on the exploits of Jacob Doe, a man whose job is to kill people in mass quantities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>You&#8217;re\u00a0not seriously trying\u00a0to make genocide funny, are you?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yeah. \u00a0We laugh at things to remove their power to terrify. \u00a0Or, as Jacob might say, you gotta laugh or you&#8217;re going to cry. \u00a0That said, it isn&#8217;t going to be a laugh-a-week. \u00a0Especially in the beginning setup, there are going to be somber periods.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Is it ever going to have color?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sorry, no. \u00a0I&#8217;m colorblind &#8212; color is difficult for me to work in. \u00a0I want to practice my black and white linework, although I will do some grayscale shading.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>What else can we expect in this comic?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There  will be\u00a0politics (although far-future\u00a0politics, there may be\u00a0reflections\u00a0on the\u00a0present day).<\/p>\n<p>There will be obscenity, although I tend to use it rarely.<\/p>\n<p>There will be furries &#8212; aka, anthropomorphic animals. \u00a0Not for a while, but eventually. \u00a0You have been warned.<\/p>\n<p>There will be drama and angst.\u00a0\u00a0Hard to avoid that, considering the subject matter.\u00a0\u00a0I&#8217;m not going\u00a0to promise that every comic will have a funny\u00a0punchline, although I&#8217;m going to try.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>What&#8217;s your\u00a0update schedule?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">At least M-W-F, although I may try 5 per week, M-F, and see how it goes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Once per week, updating on Mondays. \u00a0I wanted to be more frequent with a newspaper strip format, but I&#8217;ve decided that I really want to work in the full-page graphic novel format, and I can&#8217;t handle more than one of those per week.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to be less strict about the schedule than I was with my last comic &#8212; my health suffered last time, and I&#8217;ve decided that it&#8217;s more important to take things slow.<\/p>\n<p>Any other questions?\u00a0\u00a0Feel free to ask in comments on the site, or on <a title=\"My LiveJournal\" href=\"http:\/\/remus-shepherd.livejournal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">my livejournal<\/a>, or mail me at remus@panix.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is this site?
