Girii: Wow. Look at it all!
Jacob: I don't like it. It's too open, too many people. We should stick to the side streets, find a small shop...
Girii: No way! Listen, you. I've spent my whole life in a town whose biggest store sold walrus penis bones to tourists. I've never seen a marketplace like this. So I am going to shop.
Roger: What do we do?
Jacob: Only one thing you can do when a woman gets like this.
Roger: What?
Jacob: Sit in the electronics department and watch sports until she maxes the credit card.
Roger: Ah.

  4. Kez says:

Finally got caught up. Nice work!

  6. Remus Shepherd says:

Folks, I have no idea why the 12/12 comic didn’t update this morning. I know I set it up.

I’m at work right now; I’ll have to fix it when I get home. Check back this evening. Sorry for the delay!

  7. The small-scale yet important tech changes reminds me a bit of J.G. Ballard who wanted to look at the near-future when he wrote “Vermilion Sands”. It’s just a bit farther in the future than that, but such recognizably possible stuff…
