As promised, here’s the comic, still running through my vacation, but in the interest of time I’ve left off the shading and shadows for now. I’ll fix them in the future.

I actually like the look of the comic without shading. When I first started the comic, I considered doing it this way because it gave me more time to draw clean linework. But I knew I would have a lot of lighting effects — Jacob has a gun that shoots lightning bolts, for pete’s sake — and I wanted to make sharp visual imagery with some cool chiaroscuro.

Anyway, I’ve loaded two more pages like this, and I’ve got my laptop so I’ll be in touch. I can’t leave you folks entirely alone…not with Caera lurking up there like that.

Jacob: Keep her moving, Roger.
Roger: I'm trying, Jacob, but she's redefining the word 'useless' right now.
Msaka: What's wrong with her?
Jacob: Girii's an empath. She probably felt everything we did to these guys.
Msaka: Really?
Girii: WHY DO YOU KEEP SHOOTING THEM IN THE FACE?
Jacob: Can't hit them where there's armor. I'll shoot them in the rear, if you want to talk their pants off first. Let's move. We'll head North--
Roger: No -- we have to go west! Planes hit us from the north, south, and east. I think the A.I. was trying to herd us west. And there's something else...

    I see (insert name here) Backing away from the really dangerous people – does she have any other role other than being the audience to their fighting and alliance.

    I’d like to think so, I have some sympathy for all the characters – except that lady. I guess I need to see more of her humanity to get that.
