What is immoral is war itself. Once full-scale war has broken out it can never be humanized or civilized, and if one side attempted to do so it would be most likely to be defeated. That to me is the lesson of Dresden.

Chapter 11, Page 1

When I got the pages for chapter 11, I was happy to see that Michael had finally grokked Dahnai.  She’s just a sweet little girl who happens to be a freak of science.  This is a big chapter for her…and for everyone else, come to think of it…

↓ Transcript
Jacob: Quite a step up from the jungle.
Roger: Dahnai's camp in the rainforest was actually kind of nice.
Jacob: I wouldn't know. Didn't see her boudoir.
Dahnai: Hi, Roger. ...and Mr. Doe.
Jacob: Call me Jacob. Is this a special occasion?
Dahnai: It's been so long since I had a real dance floor. I practice daily.
Largo: She's teaching Largo to waltz. But Largo has two left hands where his feet should be.
Dahnai: You do fine, Largo. What did you want, Jacob?
