Ah, comic strip writing–the ideal 21st century occupation for anyone who simply can’t commit to scrimshaw.

Chapter 11, Page 2

Love this page.  I may have to make that second panel closeup of Dahnai into a forum icon…or maybe a meme image.  Picture the words ‘Dog Girl is Trying to Change the Subject’ on there.  It could be the new grumpy cat.  Eh, or maybe not.   🙂

Jacob: I hear that you don't trust Doctor Fumiaki.
Dahnai: That was said in confidence.
Jacob: I think you know Fumiaki's plans.
Dahnai: He doesn't make plans. Really.
Jacob: But you know something, don't you?
Dahnai: Tell me, Jacob, do you dance?
Jacob: No.
Dahnai: Oh, come on. In my experience, men of action are light on their feet.

  1. He doesn’t dance but what do you want to bet Jacob knows how to wearponize the Fox Trot?

  2. Z00l00k says:

It’s a long story, but with interesting twists along the way. You never know really what will happen next.

  3. Jacob “Twinkle Toes” Doe. Sounds great!

  4. Remus Shepherd says:

    Glad you’re enjoying it, ZOOlOOk!

‘Long’ story is relative. It’s about three times the size of my other comic, Indefensible Positions. But compared to epics like Digger or Girl Genius, Genocide Man is going to wind up at a modest size. 🙂

  5. Perpessio says:

Being a Military man, he’d had to have gone clubbing as a young soldier, or waltzing formally. I just can’t picture him all too into rock and roll, country, or jazz, except the latter I’m not too sure of. I know I am looking forward to the following comics, not only to see if she fills him in during the dance, but to see if he really will play along. ;3

  6. Remus Shepherd says:

I’m thinking Jacob is a bit more sheltered than that, Perpessio. Remember, he was 18 when the global pandemic wars began.
