Chapter 11, Page 4

It seems that Dahnai let something slip that sparked Jacob into action.  It’s all downhill from here…

↓ Transcript
Dahnai: Look...all I can say is...Doctor Fumiaki just isn't the man he used to be.
Jacob: He's -- he's not, is he?
Dahnai: Wait! I didn't mean that! He's not planning anything, really!
Jacob: Yeah, I believe that now.

  1. Sonja says:

I really like the first panel. You can see how she once liked Fumiaki – who is practically her father – and now feels bad about not being able to trust him anymore.

  2. -skimmer- says:

    AI?

  3. SlowDeck says:

One thing I have to wonder… Is it possible that Jacob is Fumiaki?

  4. Darls Chickens says:

Told ya. He’s transformed into Schrödinger, and he’s moved beyond cats.
When he puts you into the chrysalis of uncertainty, we can’t know if you’re alive or dead until we open it and look inside. Dogs and cats are obsolete now, and they aren’t. It’s a superposition of two quantum states.

  5. Crorem says:

You’re going to have to explain that one, SlowDeck.

  6. Gin says:

What? Oh! I think I get it. Maybe. I’ll just have to wait and see.

Looks like Dahnai thought he made a mental leap one way, but he didn’t. Really liking how this is playing out.
