  1. Dwwolf says:

    Duhhh Empath !

  2. Moxie Man says:

Gun has gut a little bit of a kick-back.

  3. Moxie Man says:

*sigh* can’t type this early either. *got* not *gut*.

  4. Ro'Wan says:

She actually got him to hold still “just” long enough………………………

  5. Zarylo says:

She probably is falling down due to the gun’s recoil combined with the fact that her empathy makes her feel the pain her foe feels as the bullets surge through his torso…
I imagine that to be very painful.

  6. Zarylo says:

    Noticed something odd though.
The Genocide merc holds a gun in each hand in panel 1 and 2 but they must have dissolved into thin air as they are mysteriously gone in panel 4.

  7. -skimmer- says:

    …that worked?

  8. Unmaker says:

One down, three (?) to go?

  9. Ming the Merciless says:

Gunnie still have four pistols in holsters and the two he was holding flew off frame…you’d toss them too if you had your guts and spine ripped off!

  10. Silka says:

    I’m going to guess it’s a combination of the kick-back from the gun and the backlash of the soldier’s emotional state as he gets shot. That’d be MORE than enough to knock an empath over. ^.^;

  11. zeezee says:

Worth noting: the empathy has its limits. She can’t get people to do ANYTHING — at least, not in that time frame. I suspect that if she had six hours undisturbed and a deadened conscious, she could absolutely convince a healthy person that life isn’t worth living after all. Aren’t you glad she works for the good guys?

  12. Zarylo says:

Not Really Ming, if you look at the angle of his hands you will notice that he has not done any drastic movements.
Secondly, the last frame shows the split second moment just after the bullets penetrate his upper body. If the guns should leave the frame in that a short period of time, he must have thrown them with a insane speed similar to the bullets themselves.
Also, his hands are not angled in any way that would suggest he had thrown away anything.
Lastly, the frame shows everything below Gunnie, so the guns can’t have fallen below the frame, the only direction they could have gone is upwards. And that is again very unlikely because in the shock of things you are releasing hold of whatever you are holding, making it subject to gravity rather than a throw.

  13. Ming the Merciless says:

Well, a spastic jerk up, then, like a headless fire ant…he move in micro-seconds, yanno, and only one pic in a thousand is shown…
